GHOSTLY KISSES COMES TO PARİBU ART ON 20 NOVEMBER
Ghostly Kisses is a Quebec City-based indie dream-pop project created by Margaux Sauvé and Louis-Étienne Santais. The duo is known for intimate, cinematic songs that blur the boundaries between the personal and the universal.
Following Darkroom (2024), an album inspired by anonymous letters sent by fans from around the world, Ghostly Kisses now turns inward, embracing a more introspective and contemplative chapter. Built on dream-pop foundations, their music is shaped by cinematic minimalism, poetic songwriting and a profound sense of intimacy. Their songs come alive in quiet spaces where vulnerability meets atmosphere and emotions continue to resonate long after the final note.
Their new album explores different forms of distance — physical, emotional and existential. Written over years of travel and performances across continents, the album reflects on the things that separate us from one another: being far from the people we love, growing apart from who we once were, and the distance between ourselves and the people we imagined we would become. It delicately examines alienation and longing, the fragile passage of time, and the tension between our desire for permanence and the transience of life.
As their world expands through travel and new encounters, a contrasting sense of intimacy also begins to emerge: the desire to build a home, to create a new life and to embrace the vulnerability that comes with it. Across the Pond embraces life in all its contradictions — ordinary yet extraordinary, fleeting yet profound.
Through delicate melodies, understated electronic textures, orchestral arrangements and heartfelt storytelling, Ghostly Kisses invites listeners into a world where even the simplest gestures can carry immense meaning, and where connection remains possible even with oceans in between.
