Based on Matthew Seager’s internationally acclaimed play In Other Words, Elma Labrador Çimen brings to the stage the story of a man struggling with Alzheimer’s and the woman who accompanies him throughout his life. Set at the fragile boundary between remembering and forgetting, it tells the enduring power of love across a lifetime.
The play explores the subtleties of growing old together, the fragility of memory, and the persistence of love through a deeply emotional narrative that leaves a lasting impact on the audience.
Starring Engin Hepileri and Nergis Öztürk, the production is carried by powerful performances that bring this tender and heartbreaking story to life. As the man gradually loses himself in the shadow of forgetting, the woman’s effort to hold on creates a moving portrait of vulnerability and resilience.
With its minimalist storytelling, richly drawn characters, and intense emotional depth, Elma Labrador Çimen invites the audience into a journey through both the darkest corridors of the mind and the warmest corners of the heart.
